General Terms and Conditions for Contests

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contests conducted by Meier Logistik GmbH (Zum Geisberg 5a, 66740 Saarlouis). They complement any special terms of participation, if and as far as such are announced with the respective contest. By participating, each participant acknowledges these terms and conditions as well as the separately stated terms of participation and deadlines for each contest.

2. Participation

1. Participation in the contest is free of charge.

2. Anyone who has reached the age of 18 at the time of participation may participate. Employees of Meier Logistik GmbH, affiliated companies, and potential cooperation partners, as well as their relatives, are excluded from participation.

3. Participation in a contest occurs through the separately stated terms of participation for each contest. Registrations that do not comply with these terms will be disqualified. The same applies to registrations from participants whose data has been deleted at their request.

4. The submission deadline will be announced separately for each contest. If the deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, the last working day before the expiration of the participation period is considered the submission deadline.

5. Multiple entries do not increase the chances of winning. Machine-generated registrations will generally not be considered.

3. Implementation and Prize

1. The winner will be drawn after the contest submission deadline.

2. In the case of multiple participants and/or multiple correct entries, the decision will be made by drawing lots.

3. Drawn participants will be notified by phone, email, comment/link (on social media), or by written post. Each notified participant is obliged to inform Meier Logistik GmbH within 21 days of sending the notification whether they accept the prize. If Meier Logistik GmbH does not receive such a notification within this period, the opportunity to accept the prize expires, and Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to determine another participant by drawing lots and notify them accordingly. If Meier Logistik GmbH knows the address of a drawn participant, it reserves the right to send the prize directly with the notification. Each participant agrees to the use of their provided data for the purpose of prize notification. We refer to the further information under Section 6.

4. The announcement of the prize will be made separately for each contest. The prize presented in the contest may not necessarily be identical to the won item; deviations, particularly in model, color, and equipment, etc., are possible.

5. Cash payment of the prize value, changes, or exchange of the prize are excluded. The prize is non-transferable. Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to publicly announce the name of the winner. The winner agrees to this.

4. Exclusion

1. Meier Logistik GmbH reserves the right to exclude participants from the contest if the following conditions apply: in case of violations against the terms of participation, if participants engage in manipulation or other dishonest means, or violate good morals. Meier Logistik GmbH may also declare such exclusion retroactively, revoke prizes, and reclaim them.

5. Legal recourse is always excluded.

6. Data Protection

In order for the contest to be carried out, Meier Logistik GmbH must know personal data of the participants, such as names and addresses. Personal data transmitted to Meier Logistik GmbH in the context of participating in a contest will only be stored, processed, and used by Meier Logistik GmbH and possibly involved cooperation partners for the purpose of conducting and managing the contest. There will be no transfer of data to third parties. The separate rules of each contest may have a different and more extensive regulation regarding the use of personal data. Upon request, Meier Logistik GmbH provides each participant with free information about all personal data stored about them and will immediately delete this data upon request free of charge. A simple message by email is sufficient for this purpose.

7. Liability

1. Meier Logistik GmbH assumes no liability for technical disruptions.

2. Should individual provisions of the terms and conditions be invalid or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions remains unaffected.
